“We would like to say a big thank you to Swift Aircraft for a fabulous informative and enjoyable evening. The cadets thoroughly enjoyed their visit and are very much looking forward to future visits."
Swift were pleased to invite special guests 222 Squadron to visit us at SEP for an aviation-fueled evening. The Cadets took a step back in time to learn about the history of the site, formerly RAF Coltishall, while seeing first-hand the production of the brand new Swift Aircraft prototype, which has the potential to be an elementary training aircraft of the future. They met up with Swift engineers who talked them through the aircraft design and testing process, followed by a tour of the facility. Rapture Aerospace gave an amazing presentation, inspiring a future in Rocket Science for some of the Cadets, and this was followed by a paper plane competition with prizes for precision and distance. Fun was had by all, and we all learned a lot from each other. Swift Aircraft has a special relationship with 222 Squadron and will be welcoming them back in the future to keep up to date with developments from both side, and we would like to thank them for taking their time to visit us. This enterprise forms part of Swift Aircraft's commitment to revitalising the British Aviation industry and provide on-going STEM initiatives to inspire future generations. If you would like to visit Swift Aircraft for a similar event, please contact us at stem@swifttg.com. Swift Aircraft is looking for recent Aeronautical Engineering graduates to join our design team. You will form an integral part of the company, which is an approved design and production organisation working on a vast range of interesting and innovative developments.
We are currently building the prototype of a new two seat side-by-side fully aerobatic composite training aircraft, and have a number of other exciting projects in the pipeline. The company is based at Scottow Enterprise Park in Norfolk, formerly RAF Coltishall. Flight test and maintenance activities are performed on site alongside the design and production departments, making it one of the only locations in the UK to house all these disciplines in one place. This is a varied and exciting role, and one that could see you really make a mark on the GA industry.
